Adrianne Serna - Another Day In America Poor Girl Records
Artist: Adrianne Serna
Title: Another Day In America
Label: Poor Girl Records (www.poorgirlrecords.com)
Genre: Acoustic Pop/Rock
I had my doubts about reviewing this album at first, simply because I'm not really into any acoustic/folk type genres of music. Something made me decide to give it a listen, so I did. Am I ever happy that I did decide to give it a listen. This music is simply amazing. I love this album, and can't seem to put it down now. Adrianne Serna is one incredible singer/songwriter with a voice that just makes her listeners feel good. There's something about this album that I can't find words to describe, but one listen and you should get the picture. Adrianne's voice is almost perfect for this style of music. Very charming, very warm and very infectious. Adrianne reminds me a lot of Lisa Loeb.
The musical style is a modern acoustic pop/rock sound that contains some great lyrical work. The melodies are very warm and pure. There's nothing about this album that could possibly turn it's listeners off. Adrianne is a future influential artist in the making. Sometimes we make decisions on things for reasons unknown. This is one of those times where I'm glad I made the decision to listen to this album. I now have an album that will not leave my CD turntable for a long time. Now it's your turn. Give it a spin.
