Who'll it be? Ask The Shadow
Vivendi's Universal Records president Zack Horowitz and Sony Corp's Sony Music's Michele Anthony are among those who'll decide who's going to replace RIAA chief fact manipulator Hilary 'Reach Out' Rosen, says a Reuters report quoted in Forbes.
"The transition at the trade group comes at a critical time for the slumping music industry as it continues to battle sliding sales and rampant online piracy," says the piece, going on that Reach Out, "reportedly earns about $1 million annually".
"Industry sources have long speculated the trade group may pick someone with ties to the Republican party to maximize its influence with Congress and the White House," it says, adding that Reach Out, "shocked many in January when she announced plans to leave the trade group".
The Question is, however:
Did she leave? Or was she pushed?
