Matt Gary Shares Holiday Plans, Special Holiday Memories And their New Years Resolutions

By Cindy Beth Gordon [12-15-2009]

Once again the holiday season is upon us. I took some time out to catch up with Music City News Media & Marketing recording artist Matt Gary to see what the artists are up to for the holidays, if they had any special holiday memories to share and what their New Years Resolutions for 2010 are. Matt currently has a single on country radio entitled "The Days You Live For" from his forthcoming self-titled CD scheduled to come out in February 2010.

[CB]: Hi Matt. So do you have any specific plans for Christmas and the Holiday week?

[Matt]: I will be going back to Kansas City to spend the Holidays with my entire family (grandparents / Aunts/ Uncles/ Cousins). I usually spend the holiday week Christmas Shopping. Christmas Eve we go to church and then my entire family gets together for dinner and we just hang out. We also always watch the movie “Christmas Vacation”. Christmas day – we all go to my grandmothers house and open up gifts and then have a big turkey dinner!!

[CB]: Do you and your family have a Christmas tradition that you follow every year?

[Matt]: Yes, we all go to church together and we always have a turkey dinner after opening presents on Christmas day.

[CB]: Do you have a favorite Christmas or New Year's Memory?

[Matt]: My favorite New Year's Memory – is my brother, myself , and a bunch of our friends went down to our lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks. All we did all weekend was cook a ton of food, watch movies and played board games.

[CB]: That sounds fun. Do you have any New Years Resolution for 2010?

[Matt]: 1. Have a HIT RECORD!
2. To help start or be the front person for a charity
3. to continue to work out

[CB]: That sounds good. Thanks Matt. Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season!

[Matt]: Thanks Cindy.
