Although slight in size, Patrick Walker aka Chico, has a huge voice and has been on the Dancehall scene as a singer since 1991, officially getting his break in 1997.
Chico was born and raised in Spanish Town and St Catherine, England. His first track was a cover version of Tevin Campbell's hit, "Always In My Heart," but his more popular songs to buss were "Mek Noise" and "Stamina Daddy." Since then he has had a few hits including "Enemy" and "Nah Support Dem."
Signed to Madhouse, Chico has worked with people like Donovan Germaine, Jeremy Harding, Mainstreet, Richard Browne, Shocking Vibes and General Degree. He would love to do a collaboration with Michael Jackson and believes "Dancehall need some spice."
So far Chico feels he has made some achievements in his career and attributes a lot to his fans, "My fans make me. My whole job is to keep up my good work - keep on pleasing dem."
His original plan had been to go into accounting as a career, but music called him and Chico plans to do an album and "go further." He advises his fans to "Stay away from drugs, put God first and stay away from guns. Support de music cah Reggae a go far."
